Ooramana is a small but beautiful village in kerala.It situated in 4km away from Ramamangalam  in Piravam-Kakkad-Muvattupuzha road.It also near to NH49.The famous church Kadamattom Pally is only 2km from Ooramana.Ooramana means a number of "Nambuthiri Mana's" in earlier.The main occupation of people is agriculture.A small river Muvattupuzhayar is passing through this village.This river is the life line of our village.The water from this river used by agriculture and all other domestic uses by this village.Rubber,coconut and paddy are the main crops cultivated in our village.
                                The village has a higher secondary school which is run by state government of kerala is the only educational institutions in our village.The peoples of our villegers are fully literate.Perhaps every house in the village can proudly say that there is at least one graduate in every family.The majority of the villages consist of two communities Hindu and Orthodox Syrian Christians.They live in absolute harmony.St:George Thabor church,Subramanya Temple, Shree Durgadevi temple and Siva Temple are situated in the village.
